The economic committees of the V4 parliaments met in Košice to discuss opportunities for regional cooperation in artificial intelligence, including dual use projects and the potential development of AI Gigafactories in Slovakia.
Prof. Juraj Gazda, Vice Rector of the Technical University of Košice and Head of IISLab, contributed to the discussions, emphasizing the importance of a rational approach to investments in high performance computing infrastructure and ensuring sufficient demand for computing capacity.
Together with Radoslav Stefanek, Slovak Government Plenipotentiary for Artificial Intelligence, and Igor Šimko, Slovak Government Plenipotentiary for the Development of Eastern Slovakia, Prof. Gazda also discussed opportunities to strengthen cooperation between universities and public administration and support the further development of artificial intelligence in Eastern Slovakia.
