The Technical University of Košice (TUKE) is preparing to launch a new study program in quantum technologies for the 2027/2028 academic year, marking another important step forward in advanced education and research.
The program is being developed with significant support from the Intelligent Information Systems Lab (IISLab) under the leadership of Vice Rector Prof. Juraj Gazda, in collaboration with Óbuda University in Budapest.
TUKE already has a strong technological foundation through its HPC infrastructure and Qaptiva 808 Quantum Simulator, a specialized platform capable of simulating quantum systems of up to 40 qubits and supporting the development and testing of quantum algorithms.
Quantum technologies are opening new possibilities in computing, communications, optimization, and scientific research. With new expertise, international cooperation, and advanced infrastructure, TUKE is moving forward and preparing the next generation of specialists for the quantum era.
